Imagine my suprise to discover a pseudo non-linear magnification technique at the AT&T Wireless support site.


It’s not really non-linear, with just one level of focus instead of a continuous gradation of zoom at the edges. This is to be expected given the relatively simple Flash code underneath. While I’d appreciate some transparency in the zoom border and the ability to zoom into greater detail, I am pleased to see advanced interaction techniques reaching deep into consumer territory.

So, I’m enjoying my new smartphone and expect to be posting some details — especially now that I can connect to the net from just about anywhere!
