Backlinks Disenchanted comments on the backlinks phenomena (see my take in Hypertext in the Blogdom). Backlinks are a step torwards the sharing of trails -- an idea that predates any related computerized expression. I'm working torward this end with my RDF explorations in Mozilla (eg. Mozhoo). There's been lots of work on browser history mechanisms to address the graph flattening that currently occurs in browsers. A more manageable way to address this might be to offer extended capabilities for manipulating history when needed. I've been pondering automatic bookmarking of valuable jump points during surfing, as expressed by revisitation or hub and spoke behavior. Disenchanted also comes up with a nifty idea to use visual styling to indicate the addition of content to the essay over time. 9:17:35 PM    comment
